Health System Shared Services Information Technology AdministrationScope of Position Responsible for performing risk management activities including identifying, remediating and communicating IT risks to the organization. Assist the organization with growing its risk management program. The Information Security team within OSUMC IT Technology Services and Support is committed to assisting The Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC) and its patients. Position Summary Responsible for the planning, engineering, development, implementation, and compliance monitoring for organization wide security programs. Activities include:
performing analysis to ensure security controls are consistently implemented, integrating new technology with IT security standards, developing and executing plans for monitoring, assessing and verifying security controls across all major information systems. The engineer will work with other teams within OSUWMC IT to provide security expertise when needed. Responsible for documenting and improving the governance, risk, and compliance lifecycle process. The engineer will be responsible for escalating major security incidents and executing documented resolutions for common incidents. Responsible for IT Security projects that range from medium to large in scope, risk and impact. Leads and facilitates strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflows needs associated with IT Security for the Medical Center. Duties and Responsibilities The duties of this position are performed with limited review and supervision. Most assignments will be completed independently and are subject to periodic review and approval. Minimum Qualifications For Hire:
-Bachelor's degree or 4 years systems analyst experience -The ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge of information security best practices and concepts -Broad knowledge of network and operating systems -Knowledge of the risk management life cycle -Good verbal and written communication skills. -IT Security Policy development and carrying out of security processes
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
