Job Description The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Marketing Web Management team, a collaboration between the Growth and Reputation Marketing and Digital Marketing and Measurement team, is responsible for the OSU Wexner Medical Center's (OSUWMC) web/mobile properties, which include the main OSUWMC public site, and the OSUCCC - James site, and other department or center web, mobile, email and social presences. The Senior Digital Content Specialist position is responsible for developing and implementing robust digital content for all of OSU Wexner Medical Center's and the James Cancer Center digital channels including but not limited to the web site(s), blog(s), email and social. Position Summary The Senior Digital Content Specialist plans, coordinates, writes and produces digital content to advance the OSUWMC brand and reputation. The Senior Digital Content Specialist interacts regularly with appropriate internal and external senior leaders and VIPs and serves as a point person to other department managers and directors for producing and editing content for The Wexner Medical Center and The OSUCCC - James web sites. Superior content strategy and writing abilities are required. This position is responsible for not only creating high-quality digital content (optimizing its findability and share-ability), but also marketing, distributing and creating engagement through relevant digital channels. Works closely with marketing/communications, design and web development teams to ensure that web channel content is delivered with quality control, in compliance with policies and web standards and in support of business strategy and objectives. Analyzes effectiveness of overall website experience and content. In addition, this position may be assigned to lead various ad hoc committees and work teams involving other Medical Center faculty and staff, department team members, and freelance videographers, web developers and user-experience designers. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or higher Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or related communications field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in communications, public relations or related field required. Digital and/or social story telling experience, excellent writing, client management and problem solving skills are required. Must have excellent verbal communication skills as well as presentation and negotiation skills. Must have strong project management skills and familiarity with agile project management and resource planning. Familiarity with photography, video, web site content development and management, budget management and communications effectiveness measurement techniques preferred. J
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
