The Gabbe Health and Well-Being Program Director will be responsible for providing coordination and oversight for all components of well-being programs offered by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, alignment with programs offered by the university Chief Wellness Officer, strategic planning, program development and fiscal accountability. The Gabbe Health and Well-Being program coordinates initiatives to improve the well-being of faculty, staff and learners at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center through education, preventive health programming and research. Duties and Responsibilities The Gabbe Health and Well-Being Program Director will execute the strategic plan to streamline and coordinate all Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine well-being programs. The Gabbe Health and Well-Being Program Director will work collaboratively with the Chief Well-Being Liaison and the University Chief Wellness Officer to ensure that well-being resources offered are effective, and accessible for our workforce. The Gabbe Health and Well-Being Program Director will be responsible for educating our advocates for development funding and using data to drive coordinated communications of the offerings based on use and workforce need. Duties and responsibilities include:
80% of the time:
Oversee well-being resource programs output, efficiency and metrics to make data-driven decisions. Benchmark with local, national and global organizations to ensure offerings on well-being are best in class. Ensure that all programs are monitored with similar metric-driven results to show program effectiveness. Collaborate and participate on university well-being committees. Create and maintain a Gabbe Health and Well-Being program strategic plan that partners with the overall Wexner Medical Center strategic plan. Assist with annual budget process, providing detailed justification for annual expenses and return on investment. Collaborate with internal medical center and college departments and units, the university and external organizations to develop partnerships for the benefit of faculty, staff and learners' well-being. Ongoing development and refinement of processes for employee and learner well-being that align to local/state regulations, as well as regulatory bodies. 20% of the time:
Assure program compliance with applicable Wexner Medical Center, College of Medicine and university policies and procedures. Collaborate with Wexner Medical Center and university Development to promote the Gabbe Health and Well-Being program during appropriate internal and external events. Assist with research activities including, but not limited to, data collection, data entry, funds management and manuscript development. Participate in presentation opportunities to local, state and national organizations related to program development, metrics and outcomes. Organizational Expectations Practices within the medical center's and college's policies and procedures. Adheres to medical center values. Desired outcome would be an evidence-based program that supports the health and well-being of faculty, staff and learners with outcomes demonstrating a return on investment. Outcomes may include elements such as improved employee retention and staff engagement, creating a culture of safety and well-being, decreased absenteeism and decreased health care costs based on employee usage. Minimum Qualifications For Hire:
A Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare or social services related field, Master's Degree preferred with a deep understanding of social determinants of health. At least four years of professional experience in program development, outcomes measurement and financial management and strategic budget execution highly desired. Excellent customer service skills and mastery of computer skills to include Microsoft windows applications and database management. Experience with coaching and supervision of staff preferred. On-going:
Competency in PC-based networks and related software (e.g. Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills are desirable). Evidence of organizational skills, interpersonal skills, decision-making skills, customer relations, written and verbal communications, effective problem solving, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must be able to establish and build relationships across a broad range of people and groups both within and outside the Wexner Medical Center. Demonstrate competence to meet performance expectations.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
