From ordering needed supplies in the middle of a hurricane to inspecting incoming cargo from across the world, Logistics Specialists keep it all running.
The mission of the Navy Reserve is to provide strategic depth and deliver operational capabilities to the Navy and Marine Corps team and Joint forces, in times of peace or war.
Navy Reserve Sailors seamlessly support and actively aid that mission, all while continuing to lead their own independent lives in the civilian world.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES As a Logistics Specialist (LS), your efforts are crucial in delivering what the Navy needs for mission success.
There are two classifications of Logistics Specialists depending on whether you choose to serve on submarines, both with corresponding
Responsibilities:
Order, store, check and issue flight gear, repair parts and other equipment and goods Organize and operate Navy post offices, ashore and afloat Receive, sort, inspect and deliver arriving mail and cargo Maintain inventory database and prepare reports and correspondence Maintain financial logs and records Operate computer systems that provide logistic support information PAY & BENEFITS When you serve your country, you become a part of something truly important and you deserve to be rewarded accordingly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods.
During monthly drilling, Sailors in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
